India is a big Asian country made up of different cities. Its food is as diverse as its many cities. The Indian cuisine is categorized into four categories namely the North Indian, East Indian, South Indian and West Indian cuisines.

Indian recipes and cooking always involves wide range of spices and herbs. These usually add or enhance the flavors during preparation. They also create aromatic flavors that Indians love. Most recipes are from the vegetables that grown around them.

Indian foods show the rich agricultural products of India. Other factors that affect cooking are the religious beliefs and culture of the locals. It is also largely influenced by other foods across Asia. In the same way, their foods have also influenced other cooking traditions across the world.

Indian foods are distinctly flavorful because of the generous use of spices and herbs. Of course their recipes will also involve their unique vegetables found only in their country.

There are also non-vegetarian parts of the Indian cuisine. It is juicy and made of very tender meat. The common ingredients used are eggs, chicken, fish and many other meats. They actually have many varieties of meat, fish and poultry dishes. They even serve some of these non-vegetarian dishes as snacks. The most common non-vegetarian dishes have butter chicken, tandoori tikkas, biryani and many more.

As mentioned earlier, vegetables have always been a part of and are integral to Indian cooking. They have great number of ways of serving Indian vegetarian foods. Most are hot and spicy. It has real exotic flavors that Indians would really love. The cooking techniques for this Indian recipe may include baking, frying and may other techniques. The most common vegetarian dishes in India are Navratan Korma and Shahi Paneer.

The northern regions of India have a dry climate. This is the main reason why the people here eat more bread. Their favorites are the Indian breads called the naan, roti and parathe. The naan is bread from a mixture of plain flour with a little yeast. This is soft and fluffly that people love to eat. The Indian roti is made from the whole wheat named atta. It is cooked on cast-iron griddle, tava or tandoor. The Parathas came from wheat flour and fried in oil. These are formed in layers and come in different flavors like garlic naan, methi roti and many more.

The trademark of the Indian snacks is mouthwatering. They make delicious snacks that no other could compare. You have to try their samosas and aloo tikki. The recipes of Indian snacks have been passed on from one generation to the other. They are characterized mainly by its crispiness and flavors. It can be easily prepared and great to go with coffee or tea.

The Indian desserts are also mouth watering recipes that can be very tempting to everyone’s appetite. You can always say that your meal is incomplete without even one of their commonly known delicious desserts like kulfi, gajjar ka halwa or gulab jamun.

Eating Indian foods are always a gastronomic experience. They regard their cooking highly that if asked about them, their food is always likely to be mentioned. Many people like their food that in fact you will see many Indian restaurants in foreign countries. The kebabs and other Persian restaurants are derived from Indian cooking.

One of best recipes for BBQ’ing chicken may not be something that would occur to you.  Mainly, because it is off the wall and really doesn’t sound all that good until you bite into it.

You can prepare this on a BBQ gas grill, conventional oven, charcoal, or wood pellet grill. This way of preparing it, either on the BBQ, or in the oven, involves using a Catalina-style dressing as a marinade, and Italian seasoning, plus garlic granules as a dry rub.

Most brands of Catalina-style dressing contain all the ingredients that you need for a tremendous marinade.  For example, vinegar and onion, among other essential ingredients are a factor.

Now, we will assume that you are barbecuing a whole chicken although this recipe will work just fine for chicken parts, or breasts.  If you are cooking a whole chicken you will want to grill on indirect heat.

·        If you are barbecuing a whole chicken, remove excess parts from cavity

·        Wash the chicken thoroughly with water and pat dry

·        Place chicken in a leak-proof marinating container, don’t use aluminum foil

·        Rub the chicken with garlic granules, outside and in the cavity

·        Distribute an even amount of Catalina style dressing over the chicken and a generous amount in the cavity

·        Sprinkle a light amount of Italian seasoning over the bird, and more garlic granules, no need to rub in

·        Refrigerate over night

·        Line a 9 ½ by 13 ½ metal pan with aluminum foil, you can do 2 chickens at once

·        Place chicken in the pan and pour remaining fluid from the marinating pan over the chicken

·        Let the chicken sit out at room temperature for at least thirty minutes, meanwhile

·        Start your barbecue on just one side of the grill and build up to 325 to 340 degrees

·        Cook on indirect heat for several hours, on the unheated side of the grill

·        Mop with the dressing after the first hour and each half hour after that

·        Check for doneness with a meat thermometer

·        Let the chicken sit out on the drain board for 15 minutes before carving

Life is all about variety. You may want to experiment with different types of dry rubs, marinades, but this is a nice variation that everybody will like and never suspect that you used this type of dressing as a marinade.

There will always be a lot of ways in preparing chicken-wings. Originally it was prepared by deep frying the chicken-wing. Eventually they started to add some flour, some spices before deep frying the chicken-wing. Here we will share tips, techniques and methods in preparing that delicious, best tasting, beyond perfection chicken-wing. The very first chicken-wing now famously called as ‘buffalo wings’ were served in ‘Anchor Bar’ in Buffalo, New York during 1964.

Ever since that day serving hot chicken-wings became a hit. Literally there are lots of great recipes in preparing chicken-wings including the classic ‘cayenne pepper’ flavored chicken-wing to very different tasting variations & anything found in-between. We enjoy grilling and baking our chicken-wings. When we want to lose those extra calories opt for grilling and baking methods as your primary technique in cooking this flavorful delicacy. Chicken wings are initially baked first in order to contain the meat’s juices intact then they’re grilled to allow them time to acquire that added crispness and flavor especially for those hot chicken-wings lovers. In order to achieve that perfectly juicy delectable chicken-wing invest by purchasing a nice roasting pan. Next, preheat your oven up to 400-degrees.

This delicious barbecue chicken recipe tastes great on all cuts of chicken and is ideal for grilling out. It’s made from a molasses and ketchup base, with apple cider vinegar and spices. It covers enough chicken for 6-8 adults.

You’ll need:

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup blackstrap molasses
1 cup tomato ketchup
1 TB pub style mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
Heat the vinegar and molasses in a small stainless steel saucepan on medium low heat until the molasses completely disolves.
Remove from heat.
Whisk in the ketchup and mustard.
Combine spices and add to the BBQ sauce recipe mixture, stiring briskly to prevent any lumps.
Grill or bake 5 to 10 pounds of chicken pieces.
When chicken is half cooked, begin basting with the barbecue chicken recipe.
Turn chicken periodically and baste the other side with more of the barbecue sauce until the chicken is fully cooked.
Remaing barbecue sauce should be discarded OR heated thoroughly (to boiling) and used as dipping sauce at that meal. Do not save leftover sauce.

This is the easiest, and best, barbecue chicken recipe I’ve tried. Our typical menu when using this recipe is barbecue chicken, homemade sour cream potato salad, baked beans, corn salad, raw milk, fruit salad and watermelon for desert.

This barbecue chicken recipe can also be used to marinate and baste pork and beef ribs — it’s really an all-purpose BBQ sauce recipe that can be adapted to any meat that you’d like to grill.
